About Canopy

Canopy improves home wellness routines with humidifiers, filter showerheads, etc. As the brand’s first Influencer Marketing Manager, Rachel Davidson was tasked with building a successful influencer program from the ground up. She knew she needed a social listening platform with robust reporting features to do it right. That’s how she found Archive.

The Challenge

Canopy had tried everything. Platforms like Upfluence and Grin didn’t work out, so they tried running influencer manually. But they still weren’t seeing any results.

Then Canopy hired Rachel full-time to build the brand’s influencer program from scratch. Initially, Rachel wanted to go with Tribe Dynamics. But when a colleague at Canopy introduced her to Archive, she fell in love.

Archive’s AI-powered features and the team’s ability to implement feedback quickly put her over the edge.

“I was a hard sell in the beginning, but you won me over. Now I’m an Archive super fan.”

The Solution

With Archive, Rachel can watch Canopy’s UGC pour in around the clock. She labels the creators she’s working with on a given campaign to ensure all their content is automatically sorted into the right collection in Archive.

Archive Reports makes it easy for Rachel to track and manage the Canopy program. She combines different filters to surface critical data:

  • Every Monday: Runs custom reports on past week’s program performance
  • Campaign wrap: Analyzes successes, areas for improvement, top creators
  • Post total: Multiple posts spread over time indicates high engagement/value
  • Retained creators: Rachel’s favorite metric to track, thanks to Archive
“Retained influencers are so much more valuable. Everyone wants new creators, but someone posting multiple times is an indicator of your most engaged community.”

The Results

Reports make it easy for Rachel to show leadership how her efforts drive business results. And with manual reporting completely eliminated, Rachel has time to dive into why certain partnerships or campaigns are working.

“Because I’m not manually tracking impressions post by post anymore, Archive gives me time back in my day to build deep relationships with creators.”

Using the Archive API, Canopy pulls all of Archive’s real-time data into their BI tool. That lets the team connect spikes in brand awareness, site traffic, and revenue directly to corresponding influencer moments.

  • Increased website traffic by 2x
  • Saved 5 hrs/week just on manual reporting
  • Increased productivity by 2x
  • Decreased time spent running influencer by 50%
“It would be almost impossible to manage that UGC and track that post-level data manually. It would be a lot of hours. Thanks to Archive, everything is related holistically in our marketing department.”
