Run as many TikTok Spark Ads as you want

Everyone already knows how powerful whitelisted ads can be. They give brands the best of both worlds: the social proof of a UGC ad plus the authenticity of posting directly from an influencer’s account.

But TikTok’s version of whitelisting—called Spark Ads—makes the process more complicated. Brands have to ask creators to generate and send Spark Codes, which the brands then have to paste into TikTok ads manager.

It gets worse: every single piece of UGC needs its own unique Spark Code.

Best case scenario: you wake up to an inbox full of codes for all the Spark Ads you want to run. Then you have to collect those codes, migrate them into TikTok ads manager, track how long they last so you can strategize and spread out your spend… it’s a lot. And that’s the best case.

A more common scenario: you have some Spark Ads already running, more that you’ve requested but haven’t received yet, and others that the creator said “no” to whitelisting. You probably have some Spark Codes that already expired.

And new TikTok content—potential new Spark Ads—is pouring in every hour.

How Archive streamlines TikTok Spark Ads, step by step

Step 1

In the Social Listening tab, add the “TikTok Spark Ads Eligible Content” filter. You’ll see all the content that you can request Spark Codes for.

You can Super Search or layer on other filters to narrow your results even more.

Step 2

Find the piece of content you want to turn into a Spark Ad, then click on “Request Spark Ads Code.”

Customize your message, then copy and paste it into a DM to the creator on TikTok. (Make sure to include the generated URL.)

When the creator clicks that link, they’ll get to approve or reject your request. To approve it, all they have to do is copy and paste the Spark Code on that page.

(Creators don’t have to sign up for Archive, and they won’t get access to your workspace.)

Step 3

Go back to the Social Listening tab and change to a new filter: “TikTok Spark Ads Code.” Now when you select “Approved” from the dropdown, you’ll see all the content that you’ve received Spark Codes for.

Step 4

When you’re ready to run a Spark Ad, copy and paste the Spark Code into TikTok ads manager.
