How To Find Your Instagram Profile Link on Mobile

Most Instagram users access the platform through mobile devices. After all, Instagram is primarily a photo and video-sharing app for mobile photography and videography.

Follow the five steps below to find your Instagram profile URL on an Android or iOS mobile device.

1. Install the Instagram app

First, install the Instagram app on your iPhone or Android device. Look up Instagram on Google Play or the Apple App store, depending on your device.

Once you've found it, tap "Install" or "Get." The app will then appear on your phone.

2. Log in to your Instagram account

Open Instagram and enter your credentials. The app will usually ask for your email address or username and password.

If you don't have an account yet, you can also sign up for one via the app's homepage.

3. Go to your Instagram profile

After logging in, you can access most of Instagram's account features. You will most likely see your home feed. This is where you can see posts from the people you follow alongside suggestions from Instagram's algorithm.

You will find a row of icons at the bottom of your screen. Tap on the rightmost one to view your Instagram profile.

4. Tap “Share profile”

After tapping your profile photo, you can see your Instagram profile. On the top, you will see your username and profile picture. Beside your profile icon, you have your number of posts, Instagram followers, and accounts you follow. This section also includes your Instagram bio.

Below this section, you can see two buttons. The one on the left will say "Edit profile," and the other says "Share profile." Tap "Share profile," which will open up a new page.

5. Tap “Copy Link”

When you tap the "Share profile" button on your profile page, Instagram will generate different ways to share your profile.

The most prominent one on the screen will be a customizable QR code that you can save. You can also scan or upload another user's QR code by tapping the tiny icon on the top right corner of the screen.

Below the QR code will be two buttons. The "Share profile" button on the left allows you to share the QR code via various channels like Twitter, Facebook, and email. To get your Instagram profile link, tap the button on the right, which says "Copy link."

2. Go to the Instagram website

Click on your browser's address bar and type in the Instagram website address (https://www.instagram.com). Press enter on your keyboard to load the page.

3. Log in to your Instagram account

If you haven't logged into your Instagram account previously, the page will ask you to do so. Enter your email address, username, and password in the corresponding text fields. Hit enter or click "Log in."

4. Go to your Instagram profile

Like the mobile app, you will first see your home feed upon logging in. You can scroll through the posts of the accounts you follow, with a few ads and recommendations peppered throughout.

To view your Instagram profile, click on your profile icon or username, which you can find on the top right of the web page.

How To Get the Link for an Instagram Post on Mobile

Users can access and copy links for many Instagram elements. Aside from your Instagram profile, you can copy and share links to individual posts on other platforms.

Follow these steps to learn how to copy an Instagram post's URL using a mobile device.

1. Open the Instagram app

Open Instagram on your phone or tablet. You can find it on your device's app marketplace if you don't have it yet. For Android devices, it's the Google Play Store. For Apple devices, you can go to the Apple App Store.

2. Log in to your account

After opening the app, log into your Instagram account. Type in your email address, username, and password to their corresponding text fields and tap the login button. If you don't have an account yet, you can sign up for one on the same page.

3. Go to the post

Upon logging in, you will see your Instagram home feed. Find the post from which you want to get the link. It may be from your account or someone else's. You can use the search page to help you find the post more easily.

Note that an account's visibility determines who can see a linked post. Public profiles have public posts that anyone can see.

However, if you link a post from a private profile, only that account's followers will see the post. This principle applies even when you paste the link to an external channel.

4. Tap the paper plane icon

Below the post you select, you can find three icons. These allow you to like, comment, or share the post. Tap the rightmost icon, which looks like a paper plane.

5. Select “Copy link”

After tapping the share icon, a menu displays how to share the post. You can share it with specific Instagram accounts or with external channels.

Select the button which says "Copy link." You also have the option to send the post via Messages, Messenger, WhatsApp, Snapchat, and more.
