About Versed
Versed is a clean beauty brand founded in 2019 on a simple idea: effective, ingredient-conscious skincare shouldn't require a luxury price tag. It pioneered creator marketing in beauty, and its iconic bubble headband became, and remains, a fixture in get-ready-with-me content. After establishing itself in skincare, Versed expanded into color cosmetics in 2025.
Andy Chiu, CEO, returned to Versed a year and a half ago to lead the brand's rebrand and color cosmetics launch. He brings nearly a decade of beauty leadership across finance, operations, and general management, including time at KraveBeauty, where his team was an early Archive customer.
Creator marketing is key to Versed. Looking back when we were first founded in 2019, creator marketing was our growth channel and we were one of the first brands to pioneer that. When I came back to the business a year and a half ago, we doubled down and tripled down on creator marketing. — Andy Chiu
The Challenge
Versed's creator program had the scale to match its ambition: thousands of monthly mentions across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, a creator community of more than 14,000, and a constant stream of seeding campaigns tied to product launches. The problem wasn't volume. It was visibility.
The team had been on another platform, but as the conversation grew, key creator content kept slipping through. Stories disappeared in 24 hours. Untagged mentions never registered. And no platform could keep up with the niche sourcing a launch demanded, like finding creators with active acne for the Mandelic serum.
Missing key creator content is actually detrimental to a business when we're so focused on creator marketing.
For Andy, the gap had gotten personal. As CEO, he was opening TikTok and YouTube every morning to find the mentions his platform was missing.
I'm someone that when I wake up, I'm always searching on TikTok and YouTube of our recent mentions. That's where I actually found a lot of our missing content and missing tags.
The Solution
Now every product launch runs as a tracked Campaign. The recent Setting Powder launch seeded 3,000 to 5,000 creators, and Archive captures the unboxings, reviews, and mentions as they post, instead of the team chasing them down. For launches with niche sourcing needs, Creator Search does what keyword search can't: surface creators by attribute, like acne-prone skin for the Mandelic serum.
"What's really cool about Archive is I can search for creators that have acne prone skin and they surface instantly. Sourcing these people organically is a real pain point for us."
The missing-mentions problem Andy used to solve by hand every morning is now Archive Radar, which catches untagged content across TikTok and Instagram. And Deep Research compresses what used to be hours of weekly sentiment monitoring into a single AI-generated brief, alongside Competitor Insights tracking their closest competitors for product-by-product sourcing. For Andy, the AI capabilities are the differentiator.
"What I find is that Archive is ahead of the competition in everything AI. So when I look at what they're doing with Deep Research, what they're doing with Archive Radar, it's something that their competitors aren't doing."
The Results
On Archive, Versed now captures more than 20,000 pieces of tagged content from its 14,000-plus creators, and Archive Radar surfaced 300 untagged pieces in a single week that its old platform would have missed. The Setting Powder launch alone seeded 3,000 to 5,000 creators, all tracked in one place instead of hunted down by hand.
"I would 100% recommend Archive. They move fast and stay on top of everything, and what they're building in AI is exactly what matters to me. That's why I would recommend them to anyone."
